Akani, es la nueva banda conformada por el guitarrista Anders Björler (At The Gates, The Haunted), el vocalista Jorge Rosado (Merauder), el guitarrista Daniel Antonsson (Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity), el bajista Victor Brandt (Entombed, Satyricon) y el baterista Anders Lowren (Dead Reprise). El grupo lanzará cuatro temas en un single titulado "Santa Muerte" en Mayo a través de Demons Run Amok Records. El material fue producido y mezclado por Akani y Martin Jacobsson en los 'Rovljud Studios' en Örebro, Suecia.
